The logo

A logo for an adventurous brand
Odysway is a French online travel agency, offering unusual experiences around the themes of Sport, Adventure and Personal Development.
France is also called "The hexagon" by its shape. Romain Masina, its founder, wanted the logo to recall his country, as a sign of excellence, adventure (France is known by its adventurers and conquerors) and freedom.
We decided then to create the basic shape from a rounded-corners hexagon in order to bring it a soft and friendly appearance.

The main idea is a hot air balloon crossing the skies between the mountains. We wanted it simple and still eye catching and peaceful.

But I had an idea! Then I thought that we should also make a reference to the maps, in order to enhance the "travel and wandering" side of the brand. So I simplified the hot air balloon in to bring to it a more inverted teardrop mark, as we can see on Google Maps, as it's the official mark for GEOLOCATION maps nowadays.

Now you can see two concepts in one, as the sky and the mountain could also be a park and a corner.

The font used is all about the "adventurer" inspiration. We wanted something not-so-clean and a little bit dirty but still easy to read.

This is a special rounded version for the new profile picture shape on Facebook and also on Instagram. This version actually takes better advantage of the rounded space, so the brand will use this version only on rounded profile pictures.

This is a full color version for bright backgrounds.
This is a single color version for dark backgrounds.
